Hi Faithful Readers!!
Just a heads up to let you know I’ve released a new short story on Amazon…Throwaway Lover….the brief description is listed below. This was a story written as part of my freelancing career, so it was written to a specific formula that is a little different from my usual fare. It was supposed to be the first of four stories. However, the client backed out after this first one was written and allowed me to retain rights. His loss, your gain!
I hope you enjoy it. Let me know what you think. If you would like to see the story continue….leave a note down below and I will be quite happy to continue Ruth and Sterling’s story!
Ruth is a hard driven lawyer with no time for lovers. The only man in her life is her hard to please father who, as it so happens, just married for the fifth time. On top of Ruth’s duties at his law firm, her father has asked her to watch over the construction of the home he is having built for his new wife.
Ruth is called to the construction site to handle a problem. While there, she meets Sterling, a rugged Texas cowboy who seems to be everything Ruth’s former roommate once looked for in a throwaway lover: a pliable, controllable man who is so far off the radar as far as suitable mates might go that he could only provide fun and games for a busy, professional woman.
Ruth finds herself eager to seduce Sterling, but a little lost on the correct way to go about it. Little does she know that Sterling is not what he appears to be….

My Halloween Memories:
Growing up, I was big on Halloween. I trick or treated until I was sixteen…I distinctly remember that Halloween because a girlfriend and I dressed as barmaids in these skimpy, satin outfits my mother made…is it any wonder I became an erotica writer?
When I became a mother, I wanted to give my kids the best holiday experiences possible. We were always big on Thanksgiving and Christmas…not so great at Easter because of things better not discussed here…but Halloween was always an excuse to dress up and be silly together. When my oldest son (now 24) was little, we did the dress up and trick or treating thing…but we lived in an
area where trick or treating house to house was less than safe. So we got into the habit of renting a bunch of scary movies (age appropriate, of course) and eating junk food while we stayed up to all hours. The kids loved it because it was an excuse to do all the things we normally would not allow them to do. I loved it because it meant quality time with family.
This year things are a little different. My son and his wife recently suffered a tragic loss and have moved closer to us. Family has become more of a priority than ever before. And my daughter-in-law is big on holidays, just like I was early in my adult life. So we’re going to try the trick or treating thing again with my youngest, who is 7 going on 40.
He wants to be Iron Man.
It’ll be bittersweet as we all take an accounting of what we have, and what should have been. And maybe it’s appropriate on a holiday like Halloween–a day begun as a celebration of the harvest, of life, but became something of a celebration of death…
What is most important is the time we were given, even if that time was tragically short…and to never take for granted what we continue to have.
My daughter as a zombie princess and my middle son as the Scream character (maybe a few too many horror movies?) and the youngest as a little devil…Trunk or Treating at the local library…2009.

Just got an email from my publisher about a new review posted for To Be a Man over at Sizzling Hot Books. What an awesome review!!!
In her bio, Ms. Peters states that she “believes sex is so much more than physical touch between two people. It’s about attraction, it’s about desire, but, most important, it’s about the emotions that rule it all.” This was evident throughout her writing as she showcased the emotions that drove each character. I felt Demetrius’ pain and frustration as he dealt with his injuries. I felt Sutton’s confusion as she tried to first ignore her attraction then her growing love.
That’s just a snippet….check it out at Sizzling Hot Books….
